Creepy Crawly....

Hello there fellow Hoppers!

We don't want to scare you but Halloween is a little over a month away and we know you have to be thinking about what YOU are going to create for this spooky holiday! We decided to show you all the creative projects you can make using our exclusive Artiste Cricut cartridge. You will be hopping along our haunted trail of creativity - you never know what you will see next!

If you came from Darla's Blog Caution Crafting is Contagious you are in the right place! If you just happened to come to this blog, you should start at the beginning at Lucy's blog - http://www.love2createitall.com.

Also, to help you get ready to start making your own Halloween projects Lucy has some blog candy for you! She is giving away a Moonlight Complements Dimensional Elements pack!  That's two (2) sheets of Printed Dimensional Elements that you can use to create your own Halloween project! There is a picture of the blog candy on her blog. All you have to do to be eligible to win is to leave a comment on everyone's blog AND become a follower of Lucy's blog.  (If you are already a follower, just let her know in your comment.)

Ok so on to my Project.... At first I did not know what to make. I finally decided on something that I can make next month for my son to pass out at school to his friends for Halloween! I tried to keep it Simple. Only took 3 cuts and ALL from the Artiste!

This is the Front                                                         This is the Back side

On the Back side you can see two round slits... I used this to slide a Pencil through :) Clever... This way the parents dont get to mad if I give them candy and a pencil!

 <<<<----
Has only a pencil through the slits in the back.

---->>>>>>
Has a pencil through the top and out through the bottom slit. With a fun size Kit Kat.

This next picture is just with the candy, BUT has the pencil on the out side to show you about what size the "sack" is.

So how did I make this Treat "sack" SUPER SIMPLE:

 Only 3 cuts! :)

FIRST: Pg 57 in the guide book Card feature <No Shift>

SECOND: Pg 50 Accent 2 This is what I used as my web. This is actually a piece of the Ferris Wheel.

You might be asking well why didn't I use the spider web on Pg 76? Well thats because I did not want to deal with all those tiny parts to be peeled off the mat. If I was only doing a few I might have but this is for an entire class and the kids in the family...LOL!

THIRD:  Pg 77 Accent 4 <Shift>  The spider! and thats it!!

I used:
  • Grey wool Ink to dust up the "web"
  • Black ink to ink up the edges of the Treat sack
  • Glitz Glitter (Green, Red, Bronze) to add some Bling.

Here is an alternate way to use this Treat Sack:

If you just want to tuck a little sweet treat on the inside and pull the tab from the top slit through the front and have it hold the treat in place you can too!

This little treat sack has so many uses!

I hope that you have Enjoyed This Creepy Crawly treat!

  5. Love these treat bag and how creepy it is! A couple of favorite things you did - the glitter glitz mixed up and used sparingly really gives it a multi-sparkle! And the gear for the web - love that too, not just the standard web! Love your work!
