Chantilly and 50

Hi there everyone!!!

I have had a SUPER busy month! with the Valentine treat bag orders, January ctmh orders and of course my mothers 50th Birthday!

I made her several items, I will post those up later this week. To start off, The family as a whole took her out to dinner this past week to one of her favorite restaurants. They asked me to make her a birthday card... go figure! I should have seen that one coming LOL!

Any way, her other gifts took so much of my free time between work, and family stuff you know how it is that I did wait until the day of the  dinner to put this card together. So I did the easy thing... a Mojo Monday sketch!! I was so excited that it was one that I really liked and saw that it had major potential. Plus I had been itching to get back into doing more mojo monday cards. If you dont know about mojo monday feel free to check them out HERE.

Ok so enough chit chat... here is my Card: 

I absolutely LOVE it!!!!! I love how when I am on a crunch for time... and dont have much time for contemplating my ideas and design, things just turn out SO much BETTER than expected!  Plus I used NEW products from the New Spring/Summer 2013 Idea Book! 3. Black and Grey Glitter paper 
4. Bitty opaques adhesive pearls
5. Opaques adhesive pearls  
6. Just a Number Stamp set (D1514) 
7. Slate ink pad

Got my Mojo back on!

Hey there!!!


I Finally got back to doing my Mojo Monday cards!!! If you dont know what that is then Head on over to the Mojo Monday blog Such a Fun site!!

here is this weeks Sketch:

I was so blessed this week that I not only created ONE Mojo Card, I had the opportunity to make Two!

ok, ok, So I cheated.... ;) More on that later....


Here is my First attempt at Mojo #275:

 I used the Adorable Who's your valentine Stamp set . you get this amazing KIT:

 

When you Spend just $35 in my online CTMH shop (Click HERE) you can add on this kit for only $10!

So as you can see this kit is more than just Valentine favors! I also used the FABULOUS NEW Shimmer Trim in both Silver and Black (the black is a sneak peek at the NEW Idea Book).

I used some 3D foam to pop up the cute owl:

OK on to the 2nd card.... So the thing is my cousin asked me So last minute at 1pm that he needed a nice card for his boss and that it would be her last day TODAY!! oh and the kicker he would swing by at 4pm to pick it up!!! like I dont have things to do OR a job...  SHEESH!

Of course I Rushed home and whipped this one up... here is the cheating part... I used the same mojo Pattern since it was fresh in my mind from last night... Hee Hee....

He wanted a bigger card so this next one is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" (my 1st EVER that big!)

Mojo 261, Avonlea style!

Hey there Everyone!!!

This is a quick post to show this weeks Mojo Monday card. If you haven't checked out Mojo Monday you must! I love them!!! Click HERE to go to their site.

For my card this week I decided to use one of my favorite Paper packs from this Autumn/Winter Idea Book.... Avonlea! So with out much furthere a do here it is:

Here is the sketch that Mojo Monday put out for us to use:

As  you can see I turned it on its side... like I have mentioned before you can "alter" the sketch to fit your needs. So instead of a "flower" I created a swirl with some Bitty pearls, how I still followed the sketch but made it my own? Mojo Monday's is becoming my favorite thing of the week!

A Halloween Sunset

I have fallen in love with Mojo Monday's and their Sketches. If you dont know what Mojo Monday is you can check them out HERE.  I decided to do sketch #259. I wasnt sure at first (as always) what I was going to do... But I thought I could get a head start on this Hop and kill two birds with one stone.

MOJO SKETCH 259

 As soon as I figured out that I wanted to make this a Halloween themed card, I knew that I wanted to make the "circle" a nice Sun setting image. It was the easiest piece out of the entire card, and MY FAVORITE. Like any other Mojo Monday sketch you dont have to make it exact you can alwasy make it your own and adjust as you see fit.

As you can see instead of a banner and flower accents I chose to do a "Creepy" fence with tomb stone. Can you imagine putting a cute little banner and flower with this scene? maybe if the colors matched?? I just wanted to be different. :)

 Here is a close up of the "creepy accents" ;) and you can see a bit closer how my sun setting turned out.

September Scare Crow

Hi! and thank you in advance for checking out my creation!

Today I have for you another Mojo Monday Challenge. If you haven't been to Mojo Monday by now well, you Should! they are my favorite! They post up a sketch every Monday for you to try, how ever you like and submit to their page.

I was also dying to use my CTMH September Stamp of the month so I combined the two. Here is my card:

Since this Monday was the last Monday of the month they do a sketch where it can either be Round or square. The last time I picked Round so this time I chose square... Here is the Sketched that I followed:

I tried my best to follow the Sketch. I always try to put my own twist on it. I didn't use a scalloped square but I did use a similar cut that I got from the Artiste Cartridge. instead of a flower I did punkins  to stick with the theme :)

Always Remember...

Today Marks the 11th Anniversary of  a Very Tragic Day in US History. For me it was the day that changed my life for ever. I joined the U.S. Army as a Combat Medic shortly after this event. I am VERY proud to be an American, and to have served my country for the many years that I did.

I always get a little saddend by this day, I thought I need to change that mood just a bit. So what better way than to craft my sorrows away, even if just for a little while right?

Today I have for you another Wonderful Mojo Monday Card. I was excited to have completed it on MONDAY!! wooo hooo!!! I figured by the time I was done writing my blog post it would be midnight (9/11). Here is my Card:

I tried to make this card have an "American flag" feel to it. It has the Stripes, the Stars on the upper left corner.. and its got a couple different shades of Red, White, and Blue.

Here are the "stars" on the upper left, not sure there are 50 of them... but you get the point ;)

Life is Good...

I have been doing the Mojo Monday sketches lately and I love them. This week when I saw the one they had I knew immediately that I had to do it... I tried to get it done with in "Monday" but you know how busy life can get.

A September Clementine ~ Damask Divas Blog Hop
