Love Life Frame

I have been making some frames for a mothers day order, Thought I would share one of my latest Simple creations.  I am also making a list of videos that I need to make tutorials of. This of course is one of them.

I LOVE THIS STAMP SET!! "Love Life" D41482

Mini booklet Revamp

This is a Mini- Booklet I made same with using the one sheet of paper. I turned it on its side so that it "flipped up" to open. This way the pockets were on the side and I could slip in some tags. I was trying out new ideas, and I was itching to use the stamp "10 things" and this is how I put it to work.

I LOVE how it turned out!!

For the inside I used my AP cartridge to cut out the "tags" and the hearts for the numbers.
Since the stamp is "10" things... and the booklet only has 8 pockets I had to double up on 2 pockets, but it worked out GREAT!
Here is a close up of a few of the tags I made. the word "your" was also cut out with the AP cartridge. I used the Cricut Craft Room (CCR) to weld the letters together. This way I only had to peel off individual words, rather than each individual letter...can you imagine!!

Finally I used a ribbon to hold it together, I glued it to the back and front covers and tied a bow.
Check out the video tutorial on how to create your own mini-booklet. It's posted under video tutorials OR in the previous Mini-Booklet post.

ENJOY!

Mini-Booklet

Ok so I have seen several of these "Mini Booklets" being made with one sheet of paper. Love that idea!!

So I quickly ran and made one to see how easy it was... this is what I made:

Here you can see how each page has its own little pocket. So it will give you a total of 8 pockets you will get a Front and back "cover, and 3 middle "pages"

I added some gift cards I had lying around just to show  the pockets.

Here is a picture of one of the "middle" pages.

Here is the Video I watched to help make this wonderful booklet form one piece of 12x12 paper!

I want to thank CreationsByChristine for this Amazing tutorial!

 Front Side
Back side

I was so excited when I got a look at the pack that I had to make something right away. I think it was meant to be since my mother had asked if I could put together a sweet 16 bday card for her friends daughter, she said something with butterflies. Who would have known I'd be getting Dotty paper with butterflies TODAY! :) So this is what I made:
Front

Inside

  • I used the wonderful Art Philosophy cartridge to cut out the butterflies :)
  • I used the Lay out in the Originals Card Confidence Program Book. It is called "A message secured" on Pg 77. I tweaked it a little bit to make it my own...

REMINDER:
Don't forget that you can get this VERY same paper pack from now until May 31st for $5 when you place an Order of $35 or more!! a Retail value of $19.95. Visit my store to order Click Here.

It's a RED, WHITE, and BLUE kind of thing....

I got asked to put together rather quickly a "Fun, Unique, red, white and blue Invitation for a retirement party. This is what I came up with...

I used white daisy for the card it self.  I cut a 9" x 4 1/4" piece and scored it at 3 1/2".
I then folded it up at the score line and just glued the side edges to form the pocket.

I stamped it with some swirls using Grey wool ink , also stamped on some red stars on the bottom using Holiday red ink.

I cut out two squares a red square measuring 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" and a blue one measuring 2 1/4" x 2 1/4".  These were originally supposed to be centered one on top of each other in the middle of the white on the bottom, but I decided to go with this lay out instead.

For the title I cut a white daisy card-stock into a 1 3/4" x 3/4" and stamped the sentiment on.

I then Used my Cricut Art Philosophy to cut out a tag (pg 40)  with the shift key and tag key on. This will cut the  tag with the stars "Cut out"  I used the Cricut craft room to get the size I needed 5 1/4" x 2 1/4"

I used Indian corn blue ink on the tag to stamp the words, and holiday red ink for the stars. I cut out a tag same size just with out the (stars) cut-out, and glued it to the back to give me the color.

For the bow I tied a knot in some royal blue ribbon and snipped the ends to size and used Glue dots to adhere it to the tag.

 Final Product :)

playing with Cricut Craft Room

So today I decided to play round with my Cricut Craft Room (CCR) and so far I have to say that I really Like it!! We will see if I get to LOVE it.

Everything I made in this post was cut using the Art Philosophy Cartridge

I was trying to make some Lollipop covers for my Niece's Bday and I made a 2in tag with holes on each end. Turns out perfect width just not long enough. So I got this bright idea..." on the CCR you can just stretch the image" and VIOLA!! just like that I had perfect size Covers!! and I can arrange them on my mat perfectly side by side to fit more than I would if just cut straight from the cricut! :)

So after that I got to playing with it some more and thought lets try making a quick banner.... (why not).
So again used the CCR and used 5.5" triangles with the holes on each side on the top. I placed them side by side (one up and one down) as close as possible together... (a GREAT advantage from CCR).

Then I cut Stars and arranged them the same way, kind like a puzzle where I tried to interlock them as close together as possible so more would fit on my mat. With in minutes I had my objects cut and I was ready to assemble!

I inked the edges of both triangles and stars. I used the 3d foam to stick the stars onto the triangle to give it some dimension.

I decided to spell my son's name out and just cut out some letters using the CCR in black and glued them onto the stars.

Last but not least I strung on some sheer ribbon to tie it all together and VIOLA! done!

Not to shabby for first Banner... lol

Questions or comments just leave a post.

Felicity Frame

Hey Everyone, Here is another frame I created over the weekend.

I used an old paper I had from the Felicity Collection from CTMH. I used The Art Philosophy Cartridge to make the flowers.

My first step was to cut out the paper to size. I place the paper that I have chosen face down and then place the frame face down as well and trace the outside and the inside (where the space for picture will be).

I then use my paper trimmer and trim the paper on the out side, I like to use my micro tip scissors to cut the inside of the "frame" carefully. Once this is done I am ready to ink up the edges of my paper. Once finished with inking I am ready for the glue.
for this particular frame I used mod podge as the glue and sealer.
I lay on a thin coat of mod podge on the frame and then lay the paper down on top. make sure to get in on there good and press firmly to get any air bubbles before they form. I usually give it about 15 minutes to dry.

So at this point I like to roll out my flowers if am going to use any. I ink my flowers around the edges on both sides of the paper. To glue the flowers I used Liquid glass (Z679), this is becoming my favorite adherent for most of my embellishments. I use Liquid glass to set them in place on their own little base.

while waiting for them to dry I like to use this time to round off the edges of the frame with the scissors (since I cut the paper as a rectangle and my frame has rounded edges.

Once my flowers are nice and dry I arrange them on the frame.

When I am happy with the design I take the flower on the farthest edge and glue that one down with the liquid Glass, and then do the same with the opposite end. That way I don't loose my parameter that I have laid out. I then just work my way in with the flowers that are left. you should get something like this:

I used Pearl appliques as embellishments for the center of the flowers, I place my pearl applique in the center at this time to take advantage that the liquid glass is fresh and will be like a double glue, since the pearls are adhesive on the back too.

to adorn the frame. I kind of made a "Swirl" out of the pearls

for my next frame I will use Liquid glass to glue the paper to the frame and see how that works, will let you all know how that goes.
